I was just eight years old when my Girl Scout troop took me on a trail ride, and from that moment on, I knew horses would always be a forever part of my life. Soon after, I began taking riding lessons at Autumn Rose Farm, marking the beginning of my riding career. I started out competing in local shows across Ohio and joined the Autumn Rose Equestrian IEA team in fourth grade. Back then, I never imagined I would one day be training under an NRHA professional and showing at national-level competitions, but that dream has become my reality.
I am currently a sophomore at Olentangy High School in Lewis Center, Ohio. Last year, I had an average GPA of 3.6, and I am on track to surpass that this year. Balancing school and riding has helped me learn how to manage my time effectively and achieve success in both academics and athletics. In addition to school, I train with NRHA professional Ben Beckett of Beckett Performance Horses, as well as Abbie Noble, head coach of the Ohio State IHSA team and the Autumn Rose Equestrian Team, which competes in both IEA and YEDA events.
Earning the opportunity to ride NCEA Division 1 reining is a dream realized through years of dedication to the sport of reining. Riding at the collegiate level means more to me than just competing; it is a chance for me to deepen my commitment, challenge myself in new ways, and continue pursuing the sport that has shaped who I am.
